:: Laser Skin ResurfacingLaser skin resurfacing is a noninvasive procedure that improves the appearance of the skin by reducing the visuals effect of wrinkles, acne, and associated scarring. Laser skin resurfacing stimulates the production of collagen under the skin, by using gentle laser pulse to target specific skin regions, resulting in smoother skin and a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. Laser skin resurfacing takes place in a physician’s office, typically in under half an hour, and is completely painless. The resulting increased collagen production lasts over time and there is no down time associated with this procedure, thought it may take multiple procedures for full results.
Laser skin resurfacing is ideal for patients who want a subtle, yet rejuvenating experience without the side effects of invasive procedures. It may be used to treat areas of skin damaged by acne, illness, or injury, minimize the appearance of fine lines, especially around the mouth and the eyes, and reduce skin blotchiness, broken capillaries and uneven skin tone / pigmentation. Laser resurfacing may be performed on the whole face or in a specific troublesome region. Laser skin resurfacing may also be combined with other aesthetic procedures to achieve maximum results. For the appearance of a traditional face lift without surgery, Laser skin resurfacing may be combined with other non surgical procedures including injectables, peels, and skin care for optimum results with minimal recovery time that fit your lifestyle. Schedule a consultation to discuss your options with our doctors, and create a personalized treatment plan.

Because laser skin resurfacing can be performed in a physician’s office and requires no recovery time, patients can return to work and other daily activities immediately following treatment. Generally, a series of treatments spanning 2-3 months is advised for full results. Some patients may experience a slight blushing of the treatment area immediately following the procedure, which is normal and does not interfere with returning to daily activities. For individuals with more sensitive skin, a cooling spray may be applied before the laser treatment begins.
