Other Non Surgical Procedures

Our offices also offer a wide range of other procedures including both medical strength and salon/spa quality peels. Medical strength peels are different from salon/spa strength peels because of the types of solutions used. A deeper layer of skin is sometimes penetrated which may require a longer healing or recovery period. These deeper treatments may also be beneficial to deeper environmental damage and obtain desired results faster. Regardless of what your skin care needs are, we have a treatment that fits you. Most everyone can benefit from lower strength maintenance peels on a regular basis.

All treatment costs vary according to individual needs and should be discussed by scheduling a consultation.

Micropigmentation

Micropigmentation, or permanent makeup, works similarly to a tattoo. Colored pigment is carefully placed under the skin for cosmetic purposes. This procedure is performed by highly trained professionals with years of experience in a medical office setting. Local anesthesia may be available during the procedure, for which a consultation and allergy testing are first required. A variety of types of micropigmentation are available at our offices: eyeliner, eyebrow shading, lipliner, and lip shading.

TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) Peel

TCA Peels are considered a medium strength peel, which penetrate and rejuvenate the skin’s outermost layers. TCA Peels may be used to treat fine lines, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and mild sun damage. The process works by treating the outermost layers of skin to a predetermined depth so that these layers shed and new layers emerge within the next 7-10 days, essentially speeding up the natural skin regeneration process. Patients may experience mild burning sensations during the procedure, for which pain killers may be given. Although this is a non surgical procedure, patients may want to allow 7-10 days for full recovery and visible results. TCA Peels are performed by trained professionals in our offices and may be adjusted to fit your skin care needs.

Microdermabrasion

Our Crystal Microdermabrasion treatment exfoliates the skin by buffing off dead cells on the skin’s surface to reveal newer, more youthful looking skin. Microdermabrasion can be used to treat light scarring, surface sun damage, fine lines, and skin texture. Microdermabrasion is a less abrasive surface treatment than chemical peels, and requires no recovery time.

Anesthesia is usually not required when CFI professionals are performing microdermabrasion. A single treatment may take thirty minutes to an hour to complete, and multiple treatments spaced several weeks apart may be necessary. Though some redness may occur for the first few hours after treatment and the skin may feel hot or flushed for the first day, recovery after microdermabrasion is minimal. Patients are generally able to return to work and other normal activities right away, though sun exposure should be limited for about one week. To aid in the body’s production of new rejuvenated skin, a soothing mask is applied after treatment. This treatment should be repeated on a regular basis (every 3-6 months) to ensure continued results.

Medical Strength Glycolic Acid Peel

Glycolic Acid is an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid found in nature that acts as a mild corrosive to the outermost layers of the dermis. This treatment works by loosening dead skin cells, stimulating skin regeneration and rejuvenating the skin’s appearance. This treatment is ideal for resurfacing mild sun damage, acne scars, and uneven skin tone and texture. Medical strength Glycolic Acid Peels may very in strength depending on the patient’s skin, allowing the treatment to be customized to fit your skin care needs. Following Glycolic exfoliation a soothing mask is applied. We also offer a Medical strength Glycolic Facial.

Medical Strength Glycolic Facial

This facial includes a steam or hot towel cleansing, extractions, medical strength Glycolic Acid exfoliation, manual lymphatic drainage massage, and a mask.

Salicylic Acid Peel

The Salicylic Acid Peel is a light peel with a 3-5 day recovery cycle that targets oily skin and breakouts associated with acne. This peel can also be used to refine pores and retexture scars, reducing their appearance over time with repeat treatments and maintained skin care.

Body Area Peels

Body Area Peels can target the arms, hands, legs, or various other body parts with a variety of treatment options. The peels utilize glycolic acid, TCA, laser or a combination of treatments, and are customized to your needs and skin type.
